Jungle Adventurer Custom Career

I was inspired to create this career after playing Jungle Adventurers and falling in love with Selvadora and it’s adventuring system. However, I noticed that for a sim just starting out, it was quite costly to adventure frequently, as the starting funds were far too low to live on and adventure too. It would’ve been easy enough to just get a job and save up, but a true adventurer doesn’t want to be tied down to a job they don’t love. So, I thought, why not create a career that adventure sims will love as well as one that’ll give them financial support without taking away their freedom to explore? Thus, I introduce my Jungle Adventurer Custom Career.

This is a 10 level, 1 track career that will focus on Adventuring for the Selvadora Culture Association. The most important skill will be Fitness, but starting with the first level, all skills relevant to the adventuring system will be required as seen below. This may seem loaded, but I believe this will serve as a benefit considering that the chance cards you recieve while adventuring in Selvadora, require one of these skills.

As an extra perk however, I’ve allowed this career to offer on the job training! That means you’ll gain experience in the above skills after every shift, to mimic how you improve your job skills as you work in real life. You’ll still have to put in effort of your own however, as you’ll never max out the skills and become an Adventure Legend with this small skill gain alone. Once you’ve reached the end of the career, you’ll be rewarded with the Great Storyteller Trait, as you’ll never run out of amazing tales to share after you’ve reached Adventure Legend status.

The Levels are as follows:

Adventure Intern: Focused, 0.0 pto, 10/hr, M-F, 8am-4pm
Before you can start your adventures, you must learn the vital skills necessary for survival.

Backpacker: Energized, 0.2 pto, 20/hr, M-F, 7am-3pm
You’ve developed the skills, but now you need to develop the ability to navigate Selvadora and its jungles without confusion. Spend some time camping out at the main sites, then you’ll be ready to dive deeper.

Nature Observer: Energized, 0.2 pto, 25/hr, M-F, 7am-3pm
The great outdoors is a wonderful thing, so why not take the time to enjoy it? Observe the symbiotic relationships the jungle holds and marvel in its beauty.

Wildlife Tracker: Energized, 0.2 pto, 30/hr, M-F, 7am-3pm
The Selvadora Jungles are home to the most unique and exotic plants and animals. Becoming well educated on these various species will provide an advantage, as doing so may very well decide if you live or die.

Ruins Surveyor: Energized, 0.25 pto, 45/hr, M-F, 7am-3pm
Ruins are fascinating structures full of history and culture. There is much that can be learned from them and if you’re lucky, you may even come across a hidden temple or two.

Temple Raider: Energized, 0.25 pto, 75/hr, M-F, 6am-2pm
You’ve finally discovered a hidden temple and are ready to raid it in hopes of securing its riches. Tread carefully however, as for all the blessings it may bestow, there are just as many curses to be had and danger lurking around every corner.

Survival Expert: Energized, 0.25 pto, 100/hr, M-F, 6am-2pm
Having explored all of Selvadora and learning of all its secrets, you can now pass on your knowledge of how to survive its jungles in any situation. You’re a professional tracker, who can guide your fellow explorers on their adventures too.

Expedition Leader: Energized, 0.5 pto, 150/hr, M-Th, 6am-2pm
You’ve finally gotten enough recognition to lead your very own adventuring team. Explore the deepest and darkest reaches of the jungle, where the ultimate treasure awaits you and your fellow adventurers.

World Adventurer: Focused, 0.5 pto, 250/hr, M-W, 6am-2pm
You’ve raided all the temples, unearthed all the relics and analyzed more ancient ruins than you can count. You have in your own right, become a professional adventure and have conquered the world of Selvadora. All that’s left to do is to master all your adventure skills, find new worlds and become the best of the best.

Adventure Legend: Energized, 0.5 pto, 400/hr, M-W, 8am-4pm
You’ve traveled far and wide and now everyone knows your name. You’ve made numerous contributions to the local museum and have even earned yourself a honorary plaque to praise your achievements. There is nowhere you can’t go and they will be talking of you and your epic adventures for years to come, for you are now a legend.

This is a base game compatible career as it uses only base game skills, but it will provide the richest experience if you have the Jungle Adventures Pack.
