Want to give your Sims some more stuff to do? Let them watch something new on a computer or the big screen. With each DVD, there is also a poster, which you can find in Build-Buy mode. For a better experience, click on the Sim watching the movie and press Shift+Tab to enter first-person mode. This will allow you to watch the movies through your sim’s eyes.

How it works:
There are three ways you can use this mod:

1. You can either purchase a DVD player console or a Video Game console (CC as well, as long as their creator has properly tagged it) in build-buy mode and connect it with a TV (simply place it near any TV and it will connect automatically). After the console has been linked, click on it, and the “It’s Movie Time” menu will show up.

2. Purchase an integrated DVD player (found in Computer->Order menu->Purchase Upgrade Parts) and have it installed on your TV through the Upgrade menu.

3. Subscribe to Video-On-Demand Service (click on any computer, go to “It’s Movie Time” mod, select Video On Demand, and click on “Subscribe to VOD Service”).

Once the DVD Player Console, the Integrated DVD Player or VOD service has been activated, the “It’s Movie Time” menu will show up on the TV, and you can either have your Sim watch the DVDs through the “Turn On and Watch” sub-menu or play the DVD manually through the “Turn On” sub-menu. The “Turn On” feature will lock down the TV on the chosen DVD, and no other sim will be able to take over the TV until you turn it off. This feature will come in handy for those who own a Cinema venue.

FEATURES
Video-On-Demand Service
In order to see movies without the need to buy DVDs, you may subscribe to VOD service, by clicking on a computer, then going to the “It’s Movie Time” menu, selecting Video On Demand, and clicking on “Subscribe to VOD Service”. This will activate the service for the active lot and give your Sim access to movies on any TV or computer in the lot.

Cheating mode
First, activate cheat mode by simultaneously pressing Shift+CTRL+C to bring up the console input box (top left corner of your monitor), type “testingcheats true” and press Enter.
After that, SHIFT+Click on any TV that doesn’t have the integrated DVD player installed, go to the “It’s Movie Time” menu, and click on the “Install DVD Player Addon (Cheat)” button.
To add all the DVDs to the active sim, SHIFT+Click on the Sim, go to the “It’s Movie Time” menu, and click on the “Add all DVDs to Sim Inventory (Cheat)” button.
