Jack’s Surf Shack

[Based on true life events] Jack was one of the originals. A local Sulani surfer turned business owner who loved to awaken early before the sun rose to catch some waves before heading into the shop. This wasn’t a problem for Jack as his home on the Key Point property was midway between the outer banks and the Sulani shopping district. And when he wasn’t surfing or running the shop, he enjoyed just relaxing with his feet up in what he dubbed, “Jack’s Surf Shack.” It was a small one-room home with an upstairs loft for sleeping. Everything this man needed.

Life was cruising along without a hitch until one day, Jack received a bill in the mail from the Sulani Power and Water District for a whopping 100,000 simoleons. Jack got on the horn (that’s what he called his phone) to the SPWD to let them know this had to be a mistake. No, no mistake the power company informed him. He had 60-days to pay the bill. He wasn’t having it and told the rep that they could all go take a dive into the local volcano. Jack went off the grid from that day forward and remains so in accordance with Jack’s last will and testament.

The property itself is as it was when Jack lived there — a bit spartan in the living room area of the one big room, a sauna that no longer has the power to operate, and enough candles to keep the local bee population employed through the next century.

So I ask, is your Sim willing to step up and accept the challenge of living off-the-grid for the rest of his/her/their days? Jack looks out for his property, even from the other side and I’m sure it would make his big heart swell with pride for a young sim to take up the cause and give the proverbial bird to the “powers” that be. The key is under the mat on the front door. The choice is yours.
