Hi Simmers! This is a house inspired by real mansions in Asturias, Northern Spain. These marvelous houses can be called “Casa de Indianos” or “Casona de Indianos” in Spanish; Indianos referring to people left their homelands and traveled to America, in particular towards the end of the 1800s and at the beginning of the 1900s. The most common destinies included countries like Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, and Argentina.
These immigrants worked hard, many started a business. Some became impressively rich and decided to move back to Northern Spain, where they would show off their success by building these fabulous mansions with wonderful gardens.
Check out the build and a mini-story on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOsvSdAE-Og
In my Casa de Indianos, six residents have had a peaceful life: An elderly couple, a high-rank officer Santiago Covadonga and his beloved wife María de la Villa, and their adult son, naturally named according to his father. The three furry family members are equally important, reflecting the family´s values with their names: Meet their dogs Matamoros and Don Pelayo, and the majestic cat, Santina. The story begins after the build, at 05:42 – see what Santiago Jr. decides to do with his life.
