Small Modern Enclosure

The white walls enclose me,
as I walk through the trials of life.
Am I the only one seeing it that way?
Perhaps this is what life was meant to be?

With the world crashing down,
and families tearing each other apart,
the white walls have become my protection,
shading any wind or rain that comes my way.

Perhaps this is what life was meant to be.
But not the life I want.
Within these white walls I shall create my own paradise,
Within these walls I shall create my happiness.

The world is cold and hard,
But in these walls, peace and warm can be found.
